Tuesday Tots meets each week during term time between 10 - 12 and welcomes all babies and children of pre-school age.
Attending Tuesday Tots is free but we do make a small charge for refreshments. We meet in the Church Hall where a
whole range of toys, games, puzzles and craft activities await including a new soft play area. The children are
free to roam wherever they like in the hall but carers are expected to supervise their children at all times.
Volunteers, who are all CRB checked, are on hand to help and chat to visitors. Towards the end of the session
everyone is invited to join in a singing and story time session in the adjacent small chapel. This is a real
fun time and everyone looks forward to it before they leave.
At Easter and at Christmas everyone is invited to attend a short service in the Church with our minister
Rev David Downing. This lasts for approximately 15 minutes and is followed by a party to celebrate. We like
to arrange a summer trip each year, for example this year we hired a coach and visited “Happy Hens”. It was
a great success.
We are hoping to arrange a Summer Club during the holidays this year to meet the needs of our young families.
This will be an extension of Tots and will include children up to the age of 11. Both the hall and the Church
will be used to accommodate the many activities arranged for this mixed age group and volunteers will be on hand
to serve refreshments and help.
Many of our visitors to Tots find it beneficial both for encouraging child development and for developing
social skills. It gives carers a chance to relax, to share with others and to make new friends. A warm
welcome awaits all.
